Job Description
MISSION
Responsible for developing business for CAP Plc in international markets.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
• Develop an export strategy/business model for CAP PLC starting from the 5 Francophone countries that CAP PLC is licensed to export Dulux and other products.
• Implement CAP PLC's export strategy and ensure adherence to all technical, regulatory and commercial requirements.
• Profitably co-ordinate operation of CAP PLC outside Nigeria including but not limited to:
     o Sourcing customers for CAP products internationally and act as an intermediary between CAP and international customers
     o Engaging with trade commissions, government relations, customs etc, on export logistics.
     o Establishing and negotiating routes of supply with Shipping Companies, Agents and Vendors on favourable rates for CAP PLC.
• Periodically carry out market analysis and consumer insight on focus markets to ensure CAP PLC is aware of changing customer preferences and competitor activity to aid refinement of the strategy. 
• Periodic reporting of operational performance for CAP PLC Nigeria in a timely manner.
• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation to ensure good credit control management.
• Coordinate and plans participate in trade shows to ensure visibility and acceptance of CAP PLC brand and its products outside Nigeria.
• Assist business partners to design efficient sales and distribution strategies in compliance with company guidelines and local regulations of each territory.
• Collaborate with Export country entities to prepare budgets, monitor variance and provide support as required to meet set targets.
• Negotiate favourable SOPs terms working with the legal team and monitor, to ensure they are in place and up to date.
• Travel extensively as required to build each new market for CAP PLC
• To support and participate in company-wide sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing energy use, paper usage, water consumption, emissions, and other environmental impacts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
PROFIL
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience;
• Minimum 7 years of experience;
• Bilingual;
• Working knowledge of export and import laws and regulations (Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Cameroon, Niger and Chad)
• Excellent understanding of African international trade
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
